Our History
Menlove began its journey in 1958 as Rambler Village, located at 2380 S. Highway 89 in Bountiful, Utah. From its early beginnings, the company steadily grew and evolved within the automotive industry.
In 1989, Menlove launched its innovative FreshStart™ program, designed to provide better opportunities and solutions for customers.
By 1993, the company expanded its operations by building a new Dodge Toyota facility at its original location in Bountiful, Utah, further strengthening its presence in the automotive market.
In 2007, Menlove made a strategic decision to sell its Dodge operations, followed by a major development in 2009 with the construction of a state-of-the-art Toyota facility at the same address in Bountiful.
Two years later, in 2011, Menlove sold its Toyota operations along with the facility, marking another key transition in its business direction.
In 2012, Menlove Auto officially opened at 420 N. Redwood Road in North Salt Lake, Utah, serving as an extension of its continued commitment to its FreshStart™ program and customer-focused automotive solutions.

What You Need to Qualify for FreshStart
Your credit score does not matter to us. We don’t care who you owe money to or even if you have had a bankruptcy. Your approval is based on good references, a steady source of income and a stable place to live.
No worries. Menlove Auto is independent from any financial institution. We have our own set of criteria that are different and more flexible than most other dealerships. We really can get you in a quality, reliable car when others can’t.
Compact and full-size cars, mini-vans, and SUVs. Each vehicle comes with a 2-year, 30,000-mile warranty, which means we only sell good quality, sound vehicles that you can depend on.
While we don’t offer a traditional warranty, we’re committed to supporting you after your purchase. Your vehicle is covered for the first 45 days of ownership. After that, if you experience any issues, our technicians will inspect the vehicle at no cost, and we’ll provide discounted pricing on both parts and labor to help minimize your repair expenses.
- A steady source of income: We need your last 2 month’s paystubs
- A stable place to live: We need two of any of the following: utility, credit card, bank or phone statements
- Family and friends: We need 5 references with names, addresses and phone numbers. Download our Reference Sheet.

- Can you get full-coverage insurance for your new car? (we can help with this)
FreshStart is a way for us to build a down payment and monthly payment program that fits your needs. The vehicle you choose and your financial situation determine your options. Generally speaking, if you have a larger down payment, your monthly payments will be smaller.
